A+ College Ready Following
a highly competitive application process, the A+ Education Partnership
in collaboration with Governor Bob Riley, the Alabama Department of
Education, AMSTEC and The Alabama Power Foundation secured a
multi-million dollar grant from the National Math and Science
Initiative (NMSI) to expend and strengthen math, science, and English
Advanced Placement (AP) programs in Alabama.
Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI)AMSTI is the Alabama Department of Education’s
initiative to improve math and science teaching statewide. The
initiative serves math and science teachers in Grades K-12. In
addition, all school administrators and special education teachers that
teach or are involved in supporting math and science instruction are
eligible for services.
