Team America Rocketry Challenge |

In partnership with Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne Inc., The Schools Foundation supports students in middle and high school teams as they design and compete in rocket building in this national contest. Student teams come together on the day of launch to compete for awards and prizes. Winning team members have the opportunity to compete on the national level with all expenses paid. Area engineers and scientists provide mentoring, coaching, and organizational support to the program
Two schools from Huntsville/Madison County have been selected to attend the Finals for the Team America Rocketry Challenge 2010 (TARC). Bob Jones High School and Westlawn Middle School qualified for the TARC Finals on May 15 in The Plains, VA. This is the first time two teams from the Huntsville area have been selected to attend the Finals! Both schools' entry fees were sponsored through a partnership between Pratt Whitney Rocketdyne Inc. and The Schools Foundation.
