Celebrating Our Superintendents: Building Our Endowment

The Schools Foundation Board of Directors recently hosted a Garden Reception at the home of Pam and Taze Shepard.  The Shepards graciously opened their beautiful home and garden in celebration of our local superintendents and as a time to update guests on The Schools Foundation Endowment.  Guests enjoyed brief remarks from Board Member Taze Shepard, Board President Don Nalley, and Executive Director, Elizabeth Fleming. Additionally, guests heard district specific remarks from Dr. Matt Akin, superintendent of Huntsville City Schools, Mr. Matt Massey, superintendent of Madison County Schools and Mr. Robby Parker, superintendent of Madison City Schools.

The Schools Foundation Endowment Fund will be a permanent source of capital that will provide a foundation of financial support for the Huntsville, Madison and Madison County School Districts. We have established the endowment to become a source of sustained, long-term funding for students today and students tomorrow.

Through this fund, we strengthen our promise to the community and school districts by supporting their work preparing over 53,000 students for the world ahead. The endowment distributions will enable the districts to operate creatively and provide unique opportunities for our students.

If you are interested in a gift to the endowment, please contact
Elizabeth Fleming at 256-535-2080.
