Statewide Education Communty:

• A+ College Ready Following a highly competitive application process, the A+ Education Partnership in collaboration with Governor Bob Riley, the Alabama Department of Education, AMSTEC and The Alabama Power Foundation secured a multi-million dollar grant from the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) to expend and strengthen math, science, and English Advanced Placement (AP) programs in Alabama.
  
• Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) AMSTI is the Alabama Department of Education’s initiative to improve math and science teaching statewide. The initiative serves math and science teachers in Grades K-12. In addition, all school administrators and special education teachers that teach or are involved in supporting math and science instruction are eligible for services.
• Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA) PARCA provides objective, nonpartisan information that will lead to the improvement of state and local government in Alabama.
  
• A+ Education Partnership The A+ Education Partnership works for great schools for every child – and a bright future for Alabama.
• Alabama Best Practices Center The Alabama Best Practices Center helps teachers and administrators develop the competence, commitment and courage to do whatever it takes to improve student learning.

• Give Kids Good Schools Give Kids Good Schools is a national campaign to guarantee a quality public education for every child in the nation. Through national activities and online resources, the campaign seeks to provide Americans with the information and tools they need to take action in their communities and improve their public schools.
• McKinsey & Company MGI's independent investigations combine McKinsey's microeconomic understanding of companies and industries with the rigor of leading macroeconomic thinking to derive perspectives on the global forces shaping business, government, and society. Recent relevent publications include: "The Economic impact of the Achievement Gap in America's Schools " (Apil 2009) and "How the World's Best-Performing School Systems Come Out On Top " (September 2007)
